NYPL, BronxHeroes® Comic Con, Cosmoda and BX Comic Con/ Lone Wolf Comics present:
The 13th Annual Women® in Comics Confence.
It's been 13 years since Bronx Heroes Comic Con/ Women in Comics Con began their journey to introduce and encourage literacy through the reading of comics and graphic novels to Bronxites. Its aim to highlight the indie comic scene to the Bronx and wider New York area has encouraged other creators to spawn comic conventions all throughout New York City. This year we are partnered with BX Con/ Lone wolf Comics, and Cosmoda: Cosplay Runway, to bring you the most interactive experience at our Comic Book Conference. We will also be launching our very first award ceremony titled, "The Queen of Comics Award". This award is given to entrepreneurial women in the comics, film, video game, and community based fields. We want to thank and recognize all those who strive to make the Bronx and New York City a better place to live through their artistic and community based endeavors.
Join us for a day of comics, workshops and panels to celebrate the art form of comics. No politics, just fun for the entire family.
