FOR FANS: Super Heroes Comic™ is a fun day of where we celebrate the comic medium genre of super heroes, which is an American Pop culture phenomenon. It's a day filled with cosplay heroes, opportunities to purchase new and vintage comics, participate in workshops, panels and meet comic book creators. The vision of Super Heroes Comic Con™ is to foster new generations of readers by promoting literacy through the reading and exploration of comics, graphic novels.

Selina Briggs

Selina hails from a small town near Manchester, UK. She moved to New York in 2005 to pursue her art career and now calls Brooklyn her home. She created, “The Jelly Empire” which started out as 2D illustrations detailing the hijinks of a cute, little robot named Jelly. While she still does drawings, this “Empire” has since blossomed into a line of toys, comics, videos, and more. She won’t stop until she takes over the world!

Gary Cohn- Writer

Gary is best known as the co-creator of characters for DC comics Blue Devil and Amethyst: Princess of Gem World. Gary has also written Aquaman Special (1988), Demolition Man (1993), Fury of Firestorm (1982), The Warlord (1976), Tomoe/Witchblade: Fire Sermon (1996) Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe (1985). Cohn was also a writer on Demon Gun, Shi / Cyblade: The Battle For Independents (1995), Shi: Nightstalkers (1997), Shi: Senryaku (1995), from Crusade comics and he edited for "Shi" by Billy Tucci.
daxiong- international Artist

Daxiong Guo was born in Jilin Province. In 1999 Daxiong founded QiCartoon Studios (www.qicartoon.com) where he served as chief illustrator, producing over 100 publications. He is currently one of the most successful artists in Chinese and European comics and has received tremendous recognition for his work in the industry, including first place at the Shanghai Animation & Comic Competition, and top honors at the 33rd Annual Angouleme International Comics Festival. Daxiong relocated to New York City in 2008 and founded Flag Studios, LLC. Since then he has done artwork in Top 10 Special #1 with DC/Wildstorm Productions, Dark Horse Comic’s Star Wars Adventures: Luke Skywalker and the Treasure of the Dragonsnakes and "Superman and Doctor Light in Samurai" in DC's 80 Page Giant, Justice League of America written by Amanda Mcmurry.

Edward Dippolito

Edward Dippolito is a self published comic creator. New to the world of independent comics and also still very new to the convention scene, he brings his creation everywhere, FRANK N. STEIN. An ongoing horror/ fantasy tale he hopes to take to the limit. With three issues already in print and a fourth on it's way he shows no sign of slowing down and getting this story told.

delia Gable- artist

Delia Gable was born and raised in New York City by parents in the fashion industry, who encouraged her 3-year old drawings of unicorns killing each other with some misgivings. She previously illustrated the graphic novel "A Ninja Named Stan" (May 2013), a 99-page full-color graphic novel with a little something for everyone: comedy, adventure, crime-solving, friendship, and a romantic spark, all set in the rainbow of multiplicity that is New York. She has also illustrated for MTV Press, independent musicians Radio Eris and Jasper James, Gray Haven Comics and the Belmars Muay Thai Kickboxing Program, and is currently illustrating "Dash," a noir detective serial set in Los Angeles, 1940. Delia has a BFA from the University of Pennsylvania and her MFA from the School of Visual Arts. She shares an apartment with her partner and their 3 cats. Laura Alvarez- DR. artist

Laura Alvarez was born in Valencia, Spain. She finished the Fine Arts Degree in 2001 in the Universitat Politecnica of Valencia. She also spent a semester on an Erasmus exchange in KIAD (Kent Institute of Art and Design). Always interested in learning more, is always trying new things attending many different workshops such as batik, silk printing, improv, theatre, photography, typography, hand made bookbinding, etc.
After starting the Doctorate in Valencia she has been working in different companies as a creative, graphic designer, theater set designer for the University and Director of Communications and Public Relations in a private school in Valencia. On January 2009 moved to New York. She first started as working as a graphic designer and slowly moved into the educational aspect of her career, teaching different workshops at the New York Botanical Garden, the Bronx Council of the Arts, YM & YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood, YUCA Arts, SoBRO and other institutions in NY and Spain.
After starting the Doctorate in Valencia she has been working in different companies as a creative, graphic designer, theater set designer for the University and Director of Communications and Public Relations in a private school in Valencia. n. steven harris- artist

N.Steven Harris -In addition to creating and illustrating (Brotherhood of) The Fringe, and co- creating Ajala: A Series of Adventures, along with Robert Garrett, N. Steven Harris has had a career spanning 20 years in the comic book industry. His highlights include Aztek: The Ultimate Man, a character which he co-created along with Grant Morrison and Mark Millar, Batman: Officer Down, (DC Comics), X-Force101, Deadpool Annual „98(Marvel Entertainment), and a comic book called The Crush (Motown, Image Comics). Most recently, Mr. Harris collaborated with best-selling novelist L.A. Banks of “The Vampire Huntress Legends” series on a comic book adaptation of the 12th book in that series, published by Dynamite Entertainment. When he is not doing comics or teaching young people through arts organizations, Mr. Harris does storyboards for advertising agencies like Ogilvy & Mather and Berlin Cameron, and products like Samsung, and Glaceau Vitamin Water. He also has participated in gallery shows showcasing comic book art around the United States and one in Japan. Harris also co-created the comic "Crimson Rose" with author Mark Mazz.
Alitha E. Martinez- artist/ writer

Alitha Martinez is a veteran in the world of mainstream American superhero comics who has recently started her own title, Yume and Ever. Her exquisite attention to detail is a wonder to behold. Her work can be found in issues of Black Panther, Iron Man, Spider-Girl Battlebook: Streets of Fire, Shi, X-Men: Black Sun, Marvel Age: Fantastic Four, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, and NBC’s Heroes. She is also the illustrator of Twisted Journeys #12: Kung Fu Masters, Quest for Dragon Mountain, and Vampire: My Boyfriend Bites for Lerner Publications. She also does political cartooning for the New York Post. She lives in New York City.
Mark Mazz- writer

Atlas Unleashed
Mark Mazz (born September 1962) is an American comic book writer, art director, and editor. Mazz was born in the Franklin Square section of Queens, New York. He is best known for being the creative director for Harris Comics from 1995-1998, and the Design Services Manager for DC Comics in 1998-1999. In December 2008, he founded Atlas Unleashed a new venture which combines the strength of the talent in the independent comics community with the broad-base of traditional publishing, e-commerce, on-line content and mobility devices.
Atlas Unleashed is a start-up publishing company dedicated to exploring new avenues of delivering comics both in print and the dawning digital age. Mazz has self-published several of his own comics properties through Atlas Unleashed including: a police murder mystery – Crimson Rose; the redemption of a dystopian future – Animus; and his take on a modern day western, Nomad Rhemmington as well as the anthology series Psychosis Today! and Schizophrenia. Joining Mazz in this new endeavor are other like-minded creators, the core of which includes Shawnti Therrien, Robert J. Sodaro, James Webb, and Nathan Baker.
In 2012, Mazz wrote both the first print and the first digital segments of Ollie Mongo: Adventures in the Apocalypse which is owned and produced by the animation studio, Klasky-Csupo. Ollie Mongo is set 200 years into the zombified future, in a time period that Mazz has a great affinity toward!

Patrick Thomas Parnell

Patrick Thomas Parnell is an illustrator from Sarasota, FL. After graduating from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Design, in Dover, NJ; he then received his BFA in Illustration after attending the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL; where he is now an instructor. He has worked on projects such as Dungeons and Dragons, and Gamma World; both properties Wizard of the Coast. And has also self published his own comic book stories such as I AM RADIOACTIVE and Ultra Star.
MIGUÉLÀNGEL (miky) RUiz

Miguélàngel (miky) Ruiz is a self-published Independent Comics artist. He will be exhibiting his Comic Book Series "Mythography Comics". Miky is the Creator of "El Vejigánte-Luchador", a Comix Character Combo of Caribbean Folklore and Pop Art. Jim Salicrup is an American comic book editor, known for his work with Marvel Comics and Topps Comics. At Marvel, he edited books such as The Uncanny X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers and various Spider-Man titles. At Topps, he edited books such as Bram Stoker's Dracula, X-Files and Zorro.
Salicrup began his career at Marvel, where he worked for twenty years. In 1987, he became editor of The Amazing Spider-Man and soon hired Todd McFarlane to draw the title. McFarlane's popularity led to the launch of Spider-Man, which Salicrup edited as well. Salicrup was the editor of Marvel Age magazine for eight years. He also wrote Transformers, Sledge Hammer, The A-Team, the Marvel Toilet Paper, Spidey Super Stories, and the child abuse prevention issue of Spider-Man.
In 1992, Salicrup became the editor-in-chief of Topps Comics. He is now the editor-in-chief at Papercutz, publishers of Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, Tales From The Crypt, Totally Spies!, and Zorro graphic novels. He is also a trustee at the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art.

Alex Sanchez illustrates "Katana", for DC Comics new 52 titles, as their penciler/inker. Sanchez has also worked for Marvel, Darkhorse, Top Cow, Archaia Ent., Aspen, Lucas Arts, IDW and everywhere else in between on the likes of Buffy, Hulk, Spiderman, X-Men, Star Wars, Fathom to name.
Vanessa Verduga

Actress/ Director: Vanessa Verduga is an actor in New York City. On any given day she can be found playing many parts on stage, on screen and off. In addition to being an actor, Vanessa is a singer, writer, director, producer and a lawyer. She brings real life experiences to her craft. Her sensual, passionate yet sarcastic personality brings life to the characters she plays.
Savannah Zambrano

Savannah Zambrano is an artist from Florida. She moved to New York looking for work as an artist. She currently works at an eco friendly boutique and does freelance design & comic work on the side. Her main inspirations are manga, anime, fantasy, sci fi, steam punk, and slice of life. Savannah started a daily comic, www.unlazy.com, in 2006 while in college and continues to work on it even now. She would love to tell more stories with pictures while traveling with her dog, Ace. Her work can be found in various books & websites.
