Athena Finger breaks down the contributions made by her Grand Father, Bill Finger in creating the Batman and how she's spreading awareness about DC Comics refusal to credit him. 1:40pm to 2:40pm The Women in Comics NYCx International Meet the Women in Comics from the 21st Century. The internet has transformed how Comics, digital publishing, Cosplay and comic blogs, and social media have transformed how we receive and process information. It is most likely the sole reason why geek fandom has re-emerged as a new Pop culture. Join Regine Sawyer, as she interviews some of the most compelling Women in the comics, cosplay comic bloggers and social media socialites and how they spread their creative talents across the world wide web. 2:50pm to 3:50 pm Ghetto Brother: Warrior to Peace Maker panel with Julian Voloj and Benjamin Melendez. Focusing on their new graphic novel. Benjamin Melendez is a real life Bronx Hero. The legendary founder of the Ghetto Brothers initiated the 1971 gang truce that led to the creation of hip hop in the South Bronx. His life is now turned into a graphic novel. In conversation with the author Julian Voloj, Melendez discusses growing up in the South Bronx, the events that led to the gang truce, and how it feels to be now in a graphic novel with art by Claudia Ahlering. 4pm to 5pm Who is the Accidental Boss? Meet Nancy Silberkliet, Co- CEO of Archie Comics as she discusses her mission of educating young people about rising above bullying and its harmful effects through comics. In addition, discover her journey from school teacher to the Co-CEO of Archie comics. 5pm to 6:30pm Woman in comics: Close up on artist Alitha E. Martinez's life and career in the comic industry. Join Robert Sodaro as he interviews artist extraordinaire, Alitha E. Martinez and her long history as a comic artist beginning at Marvel comics on Iron Man, working on Batgirl with DC comics, her re-luanching with the RED Circle line at Archie and more importantly, her self published title, "Yume and Ever" which is taking the world by storm. |

Delia Gable, artist extraordinaire will break you in to drawing using a variety of techniques she's mastered over the years. Pencils and Paper will be provided. 1pm to 2pm How to draw over-sized adolesant men in capes? Allow Chris Duckett to show you how he illustrates the super hero male from multiple angels using the "S' Line curve and perspective. 3pm to 4pm Last days of Kartika Dusky Projects resents," The Last Days of Kartika", an online graphic musical that incorporates Funk, Soul, and Hip Hop music to tell the story of the citizens of Kartika during their most troublesome times. A simple guide to starting off your own comic brand The small press industry hosted by Regine Sawyer. 5:20 to 6:40pm How to create and write female characters?
