Ray Felix
Founder
Ray Felix, is a Bronx native born in 1973, he is a graduate of the School of Visual arts Class of 1999/ 2000. His comics include, "Bronx Heroes ®1.0: "Runaway Slave", Bronx Heroes® 2.0 : The Greatest Hero Black Power®, Heavy Traffic™, Enter: The Roach™ and "A World Without Superheroes®". Ray Felix is also the Founder of the community based organization, Bronx Heroes Comic Con®, and Co-Founder of Women in Comics Con™, which promotes literacy and education through the practice of reading and creating comics.
Felix has Freelanced with off Broadway productions such as "The Monkey King" from Great small Works (2006), Cathay: Tale of 3 cites in China(2007) with director Ping Chong and designer Stephen Kaplan. In addition, "Generation Buy" (2010) with writer/ Director Phillip Saruaci jr. and he worked on the Comic TV adaption of the Bronxnet Emmy Award Winning show, "Bronx Flavor", starring Justin Fornal. Ray Felix's film credits include "A Wonderful Christmas: Feliz Navidad" (2005) released by Lionsgate Pictures,"The Culinary Adventures of Baron Ambrosia" (2011), "Baron Ambrosia must Die" (2012)Oxygen Channel's series, "Killision Course", Ep2.(2017). Felix's artwork has appeared in the Seth MacFarlane film, "Ted 2" (2016) and Netflix's Original Series, "Best, Worst, Summer Ever" (2018). Felix's work has appeared in Netflix "Best, Worst, Weekend Ever", "HBO's "Watchmen"(2020) and " The Mare's of East Town" (2020). Ray Felix is the winner of numerous awards and grants such a "BRIO- Bronx Recognizes Its Own, 2002, CAG Award- Community Arts Grant 2011-2016,(NYSCA), New York State Council on the Arts in 2011 -2016, The Sherman Foundation, New York Community Trust award, The National Endowment for the Arts, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and the Lambent Foundation of Tides Foundation for 2011. Felix was also awarded a "Citation of Merit" by The Bronx Borough President, Rubin Diaz Jr. in 2013, for his community based work and teaching at risk LGBTQ youth. He was also awarded "A Certification of Appreciation" by the Mayor of New Jersey, Brian P. Stack and the Board of Commissions in 2009, for paintings in a 9/11 tribute.

Tom Ahearn
Inker
Tom Ahearn is an inker, artist and tattoo designer, who worked for years with Golden and Silver Age inker, Sal Trapani, on such classics at Marvel as the "Defenders", "Masters of Kung Fu", "The Incredible Hulk" and "Howard the Duck". At DC comics, Tom worked on "Green Lantern" and the "Superman" newspaper strip, among many others. Tom is working on the new"Bronx Heroes in Trumpland" and the new "Heavy Traffic" comic book for Bronx heroes, in addition to the upcoming "Astron" Graphic Novel.

Chris Duckett

Chris Duckett is one of the original Cup O Java Studio/ Bronx Heroes Artists. He designed the look and feel for our original mascot BX Man. More importantly, Chris Duckett was the artist for Super Hero Killers, a one shot teaser mini comic. Chris worked on Bronx Heroes, "King Size #1: World War Heroes" and and is "Enter: The Roach", which will also feature art by Jullian Tavaras.

Tom worked on the first Superman movie as well as wrote a for the James Bond 007, franchise. Tom is also an early comics entrepreneur along with Rich Buckler, when they published, "Astral Comics Magazine" in 1977 and the again in 1983. Tom is noted for creating "Astron Star Soldier", within his publication. Tom continues to create new adventures of Astron to date.

Paris Cullins
Paris Cullins is co-creator of the DC character, Blue Devil along with Dan Mishkin, Gary Cohn and Peter Kupperburg. Paris has also drawn for DC's Mystic Murder, Secrets of Haunted House #42 (1981). House of Mystery, Ghosts, The Unexpected and Weird War Tales, Tales of the Green Lantern Corps, Green Lantern #154 (1982), Justice League of America #212 (1983),The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl #7, Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe, Blue Beetle (1986 -1987), Jack Kirby's The Forever People and a revival of Kirby's The New Gods. (1989-1990). Cullins broke into Marvel Comics penciling two six-page High Evolutionary backup stories, one each in the 1988 X-Factor Annual #3 and Silver Surfer Annual #1. His other works include Penthouse Comics, Marvels Razor line, and Crusade Comics.

Gary Cohn
Gary Cohn has been a writer and teacher for his entire adult
Gary is best known as the co-creator of characters for DC comics Blue Devil, along with Dan Mishkin, Paris Cullins and Peter Kupperburg. Gary is also the creator of Amethyst: Princess of Gem World for DC comics . Gary has also written Aquaman Special (1988), Demolition Man (1993), Fury of Firestorm (1982), The Warlord (1976), Tomoe/Witchblade: Fire Sermon (1996) Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe (1985). Cohn was also a writer on Demon Gun, Shi / Cyblade: The Battle For Independents (1995), Shi: Nightstalkers (1997), Shi: Senryaku (1995), from Crusade comics and he edited for "Shi" by Billy Tucci. Gary and Ray Felix collaborated on "Nemesis: Daughter of Night".

Trevor Von Eeden is a veteran Comic Artist whose career spans 35 years in the comic book industry for DC comics. Trevor most recent published graphic novel "The Original Johnson" published by IDW. and "The Guardian" by Stan Lee Media. Trevor is also know for co-creating the legendary character, "Black Lightning" for DC comics, and has illustrated "Batman", "Green Arrow" and "Black Canary" mini-series. Trevor illustrated the first two issues of "Black Power for Bronx Heroes 2.0.

Fornal is the host of UNEXPLAINED AND UNEXPLORED, an exploration series that solves mysteries using both ancient maps and cutting edge technology. The program begins airing on the Discovery Channel and Science Channel in November 2019.
Fornal is a SATWF Lowell Thomas Award winning writer who has written extensively for National Geographic, VICE, The Explorers Journal, Parts Unknown, and Roads & Kingdoms. In 2016 he tracked down the lost skull of African American slave rebellion leader Nat Turner and repatriated it to the Turner descendants. The relic had been missing since 1831.
Fornal is a long distance swimmer and is currently planning the first historic swim from Ellesmere Island, Canada to Greenland across the Nares Strait for summer 2020. The swim will be performed in partnership Polar Bears International. PBI is an international organization dedicated to the plight of polar bears and their vanishing habitat. Fornal and Felix collaborated on the graphic comic " The Adventures of Baron Ambrosia" in 2011.

In 2004, Dmitry Gubin worked on the "OD's Helpful Hints" vol.1 comic series for Cup O Java Studio. Currently, Dmitry has gone back to the drawing board to alongside Ray Felix to work on "Heavy Traffic", one of the new Bronx Heroes featured in Bronx Heroes 2.0. Dmitry is a graduate from the School of Visual Arts class of 2000.
